If you are visiting Xinjiang for the first time, I have three suggestions:
1. Reception: If you want to save money on tourism in Xinjiang, you must find a local to receive you, and definitely not from your departure point. For example, I depart from Shanghai, and I would never join a tour group from Shanghai, because Shanghai travel agencies will transfer the reception to Xinjiang travel agencies, adding an intermediate link here, and the price will definitely be higher!
But many people don’t know the secrets behind this, and end up wasting a lot of money! This is also why my expenses for 6 days were only a little over 3,000 yuan per person (key point);
2. Itinerary: It is said that the itinerary is the soul of travel! Xinjiang is a large provincial administrative region in China’s land area, with an area of 1.66 million square kilometers, accounting for one-sixth of China’s total land area. Once the order of tourist attractions is messed up, you will have to face hundreds of kilometers of backtracking.
So friends who are not familiar with Xinjiang should not plan routes casually, otherwise, if you plan it wrong, you may end up exhausted (you can check the huge roadmap first if you don’t believe me)

3. Tickets: Due to the late development of tourism in Xinjiang and limited capacity, tickets and accommodation at popular scenic spots in Xinjiang are scarce resources during the peak tourist season. Therefore, friends who have not booked relevant tickets and accommodation should not go there hastily;
PS: Getting locals to help purchase tickets and rooms can save a lot of money, because scenic areas and attractions give locals significant discounts.
The important thing is: no matter how many people are in your group, they can accommodate you, unlike a few places I contacted before, which were unwilling to accommodate us just because we were a small group.
Even if other places cannot accommodate individual travelers for the ‘Duku Highway’ itinerary, they can help arrange it (this is very important for individual travelers)!
