Tianshan Tianchi Lake
Tianchi Lake is located halfway up Bogda Peak in the Tianshan Mountains. The lake covers an area of less than 5 square kilometers and has a maximum depth of about 100 meters. The mountain waist around Tianchi Lake is covered with spruce forests shaped like pagodas, and it is backed by Bogda Peak, the second-highest peak of the Tianshan Mountains at an altitude of 5,400 meters and covered with snow year-round, creating a fascinating scenery of Tianchi Lake.

With an altitude of 8,611 meters, it is the second highest peak in the world.
