How about traveling to Xinjiang in May?
In May, the land of Xinjiang is already green. While the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River is deeply green, here it still presents an early spring scenery. The early spring here is not like the south, which is dotted and delicate. The spring scenery here has a vigorous vitality. Most tourists to Yili will go to the famous Nalati Grassland, while only photography enthusiasts will go to Bayinbrook. Here is another side of Xinjiang, a winding river, a plateau wetland meadow, only when you arrive here will you know that Xinjiang is not only about deserts and gobies, but also has the beautiful scenery of the regions north of the Yangtze River. Within Bayinbrook Grassland, there are famous landscapes such as Bayinbrook Swan Lake and Nine-Curve-Eighteen-Bend. In May and June, you can observe birds from a close distance, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. A river, a forest and grassland, an ancient ethnicity and village, this is the beautiful Hemu, the fairy-tale world of Kanas. After a long winter’s sleep, Hemu, like a sleepy girl, begins to showcase another kind of charming beauty. After the spring breeze blows, the grassland turns green, and colorful mountain flowers bloom vigorously. By climbing up the small hills around Hemu Village, you can overlook the panoramic view of Hemu Village and the Hemu River. The rows of neat Tuwa people’s cabins blend naturally and harmoniously with the surrounding environment. If you can get up early in the morning, you can also overlook the misty Hemu Village. The water of Kanas Lake presents different colors in different seasons. In May in Xinjiang, the lake water is dark and bluish gray due to the melting ice and snow; while in June, as the surrounding mountains’ vegetation turns green, the lake water appears light green or azure blue. Flowers are everywhere around the lake, and a light mist floats in the sky, making it feel like being in a fairyland. There are also the mysterious Tuwa people here, allowing you to experience a unique exotic atmosphere. If you dare to challenge yourself, you can also try hiking across Kanas. Xinjiang is rich in resources and has unique natural landscapes. Friends from afar are welcome.
