As everyone knows, there is a highway in Xinjiang that runs along the spine of the Tianshan Mountains, connecting northern and southern Xinjiang.
It can be called a monument in highway construction history. This highway was built by tens of thousands of soldiers over a decade, winding through the vast wilderness and between grassland and snow-capped mountains. Driving along this road,

Everyone knows that the Duku Highway offers breathtaking scenery, but do you know which scenic spots along the Duku Highway are worth stopping at?

Starting from Dushanzi along National Highway 217 towards the snow-capped mountains, you enter the Duku Highway. At around the 25-kilometer mark, you will arrive at Bayingou, where the meadows are lush, mountain streams murmur, and wildflowers bloom everywhere.
After climbing over four mountains, when the scenery before you changes from green to gray, you will reach the popular online check-in spot Shouwang Tianshan at the 35-kilometer mark.
Then continue onward, passing through the steep and treacherous Tiger’s Mouth, and wind your way up the mountain along the road amidst towering mountains with little vegetation. At around the 70-kilometer mark, you will arrive at Tianpu, a popular online check-in spot.
Following the winding mountain road, you climb to an altitude of 3,390 meters at the 80-kilometer mark, reaching Hasiligen Daban in the northern section of the Duku Highway, which is snow-covered all year round. Here, even in the hottest summer, you can enjoy playing in the snow to your heart’s content.
After passing through the tunnel, you begin to descend the mountain. The scenery suddenly changes, gradually becoming more beautiful. The distant snow-capped mountains, forests, grasslands, streams, and herds of cattle and sheep will make you feel like you have suddenly arrived in a hidden paradise.
Descending the mountain to around the 120-kilometer mark, you will arrive at the Qiaoerma Martyrs Cemetery. This is also the only place along the northern section of the Duku Highway where you can eat, stay, and rest. It is also the intersection for the road to Tangbula Grasslands.
Continuing along the Duku Highway, you climb the mountain and reach the Yuxi Molegai Daban at an altitude of 3,200 meters around the 160-kilometer mark.
After passing through the tunnel, you begin to descend the mountain and continue to travel along the scenic highway. At around the 210-kilometer mark, you will arrive at the lush Nalati Grasslands, where flowers bloom amidst abundant grass and forests.
