Is it fun to visit Xinjiang in winter? How to plan a trip to Xinjiang?
The magnificent Tianshan Mountains are dreamy and imaginary.
In winter, the fields are silent.
Yili is not lonely.
The scenery here
Ink-like and picturesque
It’s like entering a fairyland in a dream.
The men here ride their horses at full speed.
Free like the wind
Galloping on the snowy plains shows heroism.
When winter comes to Yili,
It feels like entering a crystal-clear fairy tale world.
It makes people marvel at the wonders of nature.
Yili River
In winter, wandering along the Yili River in Yining, one is surrounded by ethereal morning fog, creating a dreamy and imaginary atmosphere that inspires deep thoughts.
The rime hanging on the branches is crystal clear and silvery. Beautiful egrets dance gracefully, looking like celestial beings.
The suitable climate, fresh air, and tranquil countryside form a beautiful ink painting of the northern region.
Swan Pond
Yili Swan Pond is a secluded paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the world. A group of white spirits live here and play in icy water all day.
The unique climate and moisture make it common to see tree ice and swans in the morning fog at Swan Pond, which blends with the rime and creates a fairyland-like beauty.
The beautiful natural scenery of Swan Lake and the elegant swans in the lake can be seen at a glance. Flocks of swans are playing leisurely, looking like dots of white sails from afar.
Nalati
Entering winter, after each heavy snowfall, the Nalati Grassland in Xinyuan County, Xinjiang, is covered in silver and crystal-clear ice and snow, embedded in the grassland and withered trees.
The vast snowfield stretches into hills of white snow, with flocks of cattle, sheep, and horses wandering across it from time to time, forming a vivid ink painting of the snowfield.
This winter, the Nalati Scenic Area was opened to the public for the first time, initiating the ‘four seasons tourism’ model. When you come here, you can view snow-capped mountains, see ice sculptures, go off-piste skiing, experience the joy of ice and snow, and indulge in an ice and snow feast~
昭苏
In昭苏’s summer, the mountains are green, the grass is lush, the lavender is purple, and the large fields of rapeseed flowers are golden yellow. Colorful wildflowers and tulips can be seen everywhere.
Compared to the colorful summer, winter’s colors appear somewhat monotonous, with blue skies and white snow.
昭苏’s winter is a long meditation. We sit on the ground, sketching the outline of falling snow.
And then, in the wedge of this season, I write down my thoughts, which are implicit and fresh, as well as quiet and romantic.
Therefore,昭苏’s winter is simple yet not plain, lively and majestic, full of charm. Everywhere is so pure that it breaks one’s heart, inspiring creative urges at all times.
Kalajun
Kalajun is peaceful yet implicit in winter, reserved yet full of passion.
Under the bright winter sun, snowflakes are quietly melting. Gently holding a snowflake in the palm of your hand, you can toss it up to create an arcuate trajectory.
Footprints dot the snowy ground, leaving behind bursts of joyful laughter. Such a wonderful moment is perfect for quietly listening to the conversation between heaven and earth.
Tuokelake
In winter, during cold and foggy weather, due to the oversaturated water vapor in the air condensing upon encountering cold, fog droplets freeze and attach to the loose frost layer on the windward sides of plants and other objects, forming a rime landscape.
In the silent wilderness, the distant greenish-black mountains undulate, and the air is filled with bursts of coolness, intoxicating the senses and refreshing the heart.
On those trees, rows and clusters of pure white ice and snow waterfalls hang down. Each branch is adorned with rime, making them extremely beautiful, like brides-to-be shyly drooping their crystal tassels and gracefully displaying a myriad of charms.
Those slender saplings have transformed into blooming white chrysanthemums, displaying countless poses and shining brightly. It is truly a romantic realm that makes people reluctant to leave.
Daxigou
After bidding farewell to the autumn of abundant harvests, Daxigou ushers in the winter with dancing snowflakes. Snowflakes fall from the sky one after another, and soon the ground, trees, and mountain tops all turn white.
Winter snow quietly falls from the distant horizon, like feather-light snowflakes drifting and scattering onto the fiery red wild fruit trees and the earth still retaining some warmth. It seems like the earth is wearing a layer of white down jacket! What a vivid ink painting!
In the winter in Daxigou, most days are sunny, neither excessively dry nor damp and cold, making it an excellent choice for enjoying snow.
