Day 1: Karakul Lake
Head to Karakul Lake by car. Enjoy the scenery along the way, including Aoyitake Red Mountain, known as the Flaming Mountain of Southern Xinjiang, and then arrive at Karakul Lake. Visit the lake and stay overnight in Taxkorgan County.

After picking up guests from the airport in the morning, head to Karakul Lake, also known as the Black Lake. On the way, visit the Uyghur rural countryside and enjoy the leisurely life in the south of the desert. Enjoy a distant view of Aoyitake Red Mountain, known as the Flaming Mountain of Southern Xinjiang. Take photos in front of Baisha River, known as the Quicksand River, and布伦口白沙山 (布伦口 White Sand Mountain), a masterpiece of nature. Along the way, you can also see ancient posts on the Silk Road.

Admire the Father of Iceberg – Mount Mushtag, Kongur Tag and the unpredictable highland lake [Karakul Lake] with an altitude of 7,546 meters. Karakul Lake is one of the rare highland lakes in the world. Surrounded by ice peaks and snowy mountains, especially Kongur, Kongur Tobe Peak, and Mount Mushtag around it, the lake is endowed with a magical and beautiful color. On calm days, the gleaming silvery peaks, green grassland, and livestock by the lake are reflected in the lake, creating an exceptionally beautiful scene. Every summer and autumn, this is a place for visitors to come and enjoy. For thousands of years, Karakul Lake has peacefully laid under the snowy peaks, like a charming maiden leaning on a hero’s embrace. The lake is deep and unpredictable, presenting a primitive scenery.

Visit Golden Grass Beach
After breakfast, head to the Golden Grass Beach by car. Visit the Golden Grass Beach and arrange a reasonable time for lunch. After the visit, return to Kashgar City. Stay in Kashgar City.

Day 2: 09:30
After breakfast, head to the Golden Grass Beach by car. When the car parks by the Golden Grass Beach, the golden trees and golden grassland are very attractive. The full name of Golden Grass Beach is Aral Golden Grass Beach, a wetland park scenic area built in the last two years covering an area of 285,000 square meters. Before arriving here, all I saw from Kashgar were snowy mountains, deserts, and gray rivers. I was extremely surprised to see this endless and beautiful Golden Sand Beach wetland here. At sunrise, the Golden Grass Beach in Taxkorgan County is all glittering. There are plank roads in the middle. The plank roads shine under the morning sun. If you look closely, you will find that it is many sand grains that are sparkling. Could it be gold? Walking on this winding plank road that leads to the horizon, the autumn golden grassland is on both sides. Looking to the left, I see the glinting snowy mountains. Walking further to the left front, the wetland has more obvious rivers and pebbles, with many small tributaries branching off. Standing on the grassland plank road, all I see in my eyes are blue sky, white clouds, snowy peaks, grassland, rivers, as well as small bridges and waterwheels… In a trance, it feels like a fairyland. Stay overnight in Kashgar.

After breakfast, take a car to [Dawakun Scenic Area]. Dawakun is located in the ancient city of Kashgar
Yuepuhu County to the east is an approved county open to foreign visitors. The Dawakun Lake Desert Scenic Area in the southeast of the county gathers natural lakes, desert landscapes, and cultural relics, covering an area of 30,000 mu. This desert scenic area centers around Dawakun Lake and radiates out to six culturally intertwined attractions. Standing up and looking out from the clear lake water, the Bulimankumu Desert, with a total area of 30,000 mu, features undulating dunes resembling the waves of the sea. Riding a camel to watch the sunrise and sunset in this vast desert fills one’s heart with heroism.
4 Days:
Kashgar Old Town, Xiangfei Tomb, Mosque
After breakfast, take a car to visit the [Id Kah Mosque] and stroll around the Old Town. After lunch, visit Xiangfei Tomb and Kashgar Grand Bazaar, then return to the departure point and disband the group.

Visit [Xiangfei Tomb] (entrance fee of 30 yuan included): Legend has it that one of the buried individuals is the beloved concubine of Emperor Qianlong. After Xiangfei’s death, her sister-in-law Su Dexiang escorted her body back to Kashgar and buried her in the Apak Hoja Tomb, hence people also call this tomb the Xiangfei Tomb.

[Kashgar Grand Bazaar] is a large trading market in the northwest region. In the past, merchant caravans departing from Xi’an converged here, regardless of whether they took the southern or northern route of the Tian Shan Mountains. Bazaar is a Uyghur term meaning market. Kashgar and Xinjiang offer a wide variety of local specialties, handicrafts, daily necessities, fruits and vegetables, and production materials.
