Xinjiang offers both beautiful scenery and human culture, and it will not be a boring destination for any traveler. The vast and diverse region coexists with vitality and desolation. Here, you can find almond blossoms blooming all over the mountains, vast grassland scenery, golden birch forests, as well as boundless desert landscapes, blazing hot Flaming Mountain, and desolate and magnificent Yardang landforms.

The ancient Silk Road, which was once prosperous, has given it a rich and profound cultural heritage. Turpan, Hami, Kashgar, Kuqa, Hotan, etc., were all important towns on the once bustling road. Until today, they still retain traces and evidence of religious, commercial, and cultural exchanges among various ethnic groups from that time, attracting many cultural travelers to explore.Xinjiang Tourism, National Day Xinjiang Tourism Consultation, Customized Routes and Itineraries

Importantly, the unique Xinjiang cuisine adds to the enjoyment of the trip. Chicken with Potatoes, fragrant roasted mutton, and sweet and delicious fruits are all delicious flavors that people still think about after leaving, and it is not an exaggeration to say that they are reasons to visit Xinjiang again.

  Flaming Mountain

Flaming Mountain, called ‘Kezir Tag’ in Uyghur, means ‘Red Mountain’. It was once called ‘Volcano’ because of its heat.

Due to the well-known story in ‘Journey to the West’ about Sun Wukong borrowing the Banana Leaf Fan three times to extinguish the flames on Flaming Mountain, Flaming Mountain has become famous worldwide. The Flaming Mountain range runs east-west, starting from the Lanqian Quicksand River in Shanshan County in the east and ending at Taoergou in Turpan in the west, stretching 100km in length.

  Sayram Lake

Sayram Lake is backed by snow-capped mountains, with vast grasslands by its side and crystal-clear blue water.

  Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar

The most famous attraction in the Grand Bazaar is the Silk Road Observation Tower, about 100 meters high, located in the center of the square. Each floor of the tower has paintings and exhibitions showcasing the historical stories of the Silk Road. By climbing to the top, you can overlook the surrounding urban landscape.

Inside the Grand Bazaar, you can find a variety of Xinjiang’s special local delicacies and handicrafts, with so many options that you’ll be spoiled for choice.

  Tianshan Tianchi

Tianshan Tianchi, anciently known as ‘Yaochi’, is a crescent-shaped lake on the north side of Mount Bogda in the Tianshan Mountains and a famous tourist attraction in Xinjiang.

The lake shines like crystal jade, reflecting the Bogda Peak, surrounded by mountains covered with tall and verdant spruce and pine trees. The scenery is like a fairyland. It is recommended to visit later in the afternoon, as the lake water will appear greenish nearby and bluish in the distance with the changing light, creating a very beautiful view. There are also legends about the West Queen Mother and water monsters at Tianshan Tianchi, adding to its mystery.Xinjiang Tourism, National Day Xinjiang Tourism Consultation, Customized Routes and Itineraries
