A Day Trip to Tian Chi at the Peak of the Vast Sky in Tianshan Mountains
Introduction to Tian Chi (5A scenic area): The majestic Tianshan Mountains stretch 2,500 kilometers across the hinterland of Asia, serving as the natural boundary between the Tarim Basin and the Junggar Basin. Tian Chi is nestled on the mountainside of Bogda Peak in the eastern section of the Tianshan Mountains, approximately 120 kilometers from Urumqi. With an elevation of 1,928 meters above sea level, it has long been a renowned tourist attraction. The Tianshan Tian Chi Scenic Area centers around a high-altitude lake, with snow-capped peaks reflected in its waters, surrounded by spruces, and its clear waters resembling a mirror, presenting a picturesque landscape. Historically known as "Jade Pool," it is said that the Peach Banquet of the Queen Mother of the West, a mythical gathering of immortals, took place here. The name "Tian Chi" (Tian Pool) dates back to the Qing Dynasty, meaning "heavenly mirror, divine pool," highlighting the beauty of the scenery here. The lake is formed by the melting snow of the high mountains, with a depth of 105 meters and refreshingly pure waters. Every midsummer, the area around the lake is covered with lush green grass and colorful flowers, featuring four complete vertical natural landscape zones, snow-capped mountains, and glaciers, and high-altitude lakes. It is a renowned 5A scenic area near Urumqi, with towering snow-capped mountains, spectacular spruce forests, hospitable Kazak herdsmen, and more. This stretch of heaven is also a paradise for photographers!

In the morning (according to the time notified by our operator), gather at the designated location and take a coach via the Tuwu-Urumqi Expressway to visit the Bilincheng Tourism Town, then proceed to the Tianchi scenic area of Mount Tianshan, which is known as the "Bright Pearl of Tianshan". On the way, visit the Damei Tianshan Wild Snow Lotus Pavilion. After arriving at the tourist center, transfer to a shuttle bus to view the ancient elm forest, Tianchi valley, Shimen Yixian (one of the Eight Scenes of Tianchi), and West Little Tianchi along the way. After arriving at the terminal of the shuttle bus, walk (or take an electric cart at your own expense) about 800 meters to reach Tianchi lakeside. Visit the Needle Stabilizing the Sea God, Viewing Pines from West Hill, Viewing Snow from South Hill, and Great Tianchi. At Tianchi lakeside, overlook the uniquely shaped Mayashan scenic area, the snow-capped Bogda Snowy Peak, the beautiful scenery of the pine forest, and listen to the tour guide tell the origin of the Needle Stabilizing the Sea God. During free time (you can optionally take the Mayashan mountain ropeway at your own expense to reach the top of the snowy mountain and overlook the sacred peak, with a panoramic view of Tianchi, and take a close look at the World Natural Heritage, Bogda Snowy Peak), or take a cruise to enjoy the fairyland scenery of Yaochi (at your own expense), visit Wangmu’s Immortal Residence, and the Wangmu Ancestral Temple. On the way back in the afternoon, visit the Hetian Jade Wholesale City for free to learn about jade culture or the New Silk Road Silk Culture Museum. The tour will conclude in Urumqi, ending the pleasant journey to Tianchi of Mount Tianshan! If tourists are still not satisfied, they can watch the song and dance performance at Erdaoqiao International Bazaar with strong Xinjiang characteristics (after signing a supplementary agreement) and taste dozens of Xinjiang special snacks and seasonal fruits.

One-Day Tour of Turpan, the "Fire Region"
Urumqi – Turpan – Urumqi (round trip + scenic spots, 550 kilometers, approximately five and a half hours of highway driving round trip).
Assemble at the designated meeting point around 8:00 AM (subject to notice from the previous night) and depart for Turpan! Along the way, you will pass the large wind farm of Dabancheng, the Ten-Mile Salt Lake, and catch a glimpse of Dabancheng Ancient Town, praised by Western Ballad King Wang Luobin as the home of beautiful Xinjiang girls. After purchasing tickets, proceed to the source of life in the Turpan oasis, known as the "underground canal" and one of the three great ancient engineering projects of China, Kanerjing, the largest underground water conservancy project in ancient China. The Beziklik Thousand Buddha Caves at the end of the Flame Mountain Grand Canyon are located on the cliffs on the west bank of Mutougou, 45 kilometers east of Turpan City.

Encounter Tianshan and the Gallery of Calligraphy and Painting – ‘One-day tour of Tianshan Grand Canyon’

Qingtou Daban can be entered on foot to visit attractions such as Bai Chi Cliff, Tian Quan,敖包 (a Mongolian sacrifice altar), Four Trees, Fairyland Spring, Fairy Cave, Kazakh Young Woman Breastfeeding, Bear Watching the Moon, Swan Lake, etc. (about 18 kilometers) Lunch (around 2:30 pm) The canyon has deep forests and dense grass, and the environment is very quiet and steep.
