Introduction to Urumqi

3. Xiaogaizi (Nanhu Branch): The dishes here are somewhat special. Different from other restaurants that serve large plates of mutton and chicken, the portions here are quite suitable for tourists’ appetites. Spicy Chicken with Pepper and Flower is a must-order dish. Specialties: Spicy Chicken with Pepper and Flower, Lamb Chops, Yogurt, Tofu Bowl, Grilled Lamb Chops, Large Plate Fish.

4. Xiaolizi’s Large Plate Chicken at the Blood Station: An old and renowned restaurant in Urumqi with a large number of diners every day. The portion of large plate chicken is generous, and the taste is excellent.

6. No. 17 Pilaf King: An old and renowned restaurant with much better meat than others. It can be eaten with yogurt.

7. Abula’s Nang: The freshly baked nang has an attractive golden color, with a dense layer of white sesame seeds on the crust. When you bite into it, the aroma of wheat and sesame fills your mouth, leaving a lasting impression. Generally, it can be kept for a week without going bad.
