Tianshan Tianchi Scenic Area (5A-level)
Known as the Kunlun Fairyland where the Western Queen Mother banqueted King Mu of Zhou—the “Jade Pool”. Centered on Tianchi Lake, it integrates forests, grasslands, snowy mountains, and human landscapes. One can see light smoke dancing over the lake surface, forests clad in silver, and elms standing proudly by the lake, forming a beautiful picture and a unique landscape. It can be divided into the Northern Slope of Great Tianchi Lake Touring Area, Great Tianchi Lake Touring Area, One Hundred Thousand Arhats Nirvana Mountain Touring Area, Niangniang Temple Touring Area, and Northern Slope of Bogda Peak Touring Area.

Nalati Grassland is divided into four major tourist functional areas: Grassland Life Experience Area, Forest Canyon Sightseeing Area, Leisure Tourism and Resort Area, and Original Ecological Environment Protection Area. Here, there is both the vastness of the grassland and the softness of streams. Interlaced river channels, flat river valleys, towering mountain peaks, and dense forests complement each other, combining beautiful grassland scenery with local Kazakh folk customs and traditions.

Here there are continuous towering mountains and forests, holy snowy mountains and glaciers, mysterious primitive forests, vast valley grasslands, crisscrossing river valleys, as well as a rich nomadic ethnic flavor. It encompasses all the natural landscapes of Xinjiang except for deserts. Tianshan Grand Canyon also integrates the “grandeur of Mount Tai, the beauty of Mount Emei, the clever rock formations of Yandang, and the steepness of Mount Hua” into one.
