Arrive in Kashgar by plane or train before 10:00 am, process the travel permit, and head to Karakul Lake, which means "Black Sea". Border Defense Pass Processing Guide:
1. Since reporting to the Border Defense Bureau is required to go to Karakul Lake, all booked tourists are now required to fill in their ID card information. Sorry for any inconvenience caused!
2. Border defense certificate notice: From October 15th, all personnel need a border defense certificate to pass. Xinjiang locals must apply in their household registration location. Foreign tourists can also apply in their household registration location or in Kashgar. Tourists need to bring their ID cards and go to the designated location to apply one day in advance by themselves. Travel agencies and tour guides cannot apply on behalf! If the border defense certificate is not successfully applied due to tourist issues, resulting in the inability to travel normally, the travel agency will not bear any responsibility or compensation. If this results in refund and change loss fees for this product, tourists need to bear them normally!!!
3. Processing location: First floor of Kashgar Self-driving Tour Service Center (Address: 100 meters north of Tianshan Road West, Kashgar City). (You need to go to the counter with your ID card to apply for the border defense certificate for Tashkurgan).
The processing time is: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the morning, and 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the afternoon. It is closed on weekends and statutory holidays. It does not process business on the afternoon of the day before every rest day. If you need to process it, please make relevant preparations before your trip.
