3. Xiaogazi (Nanhu Branch): The dishes here are somewhat special, different from other places’ Dapan Mutton and Dapan Chicken. The portions here are quite suitable for tourists’ appetites. Spicy Chicken with Pepper is a must-order dish. Specialties: Spicy Chicken with Pepper, Lamb Chops, Yogurt, Tofu Bowl, Grilled Lamb Chops, Dapan Fish.

4. Xiaolizi’s Dapanji (Blood Station Branch): An old brand in Urumqi with many diners every day. The Dapanji (a traditional Xinjiang dish with chicken and potatoes) is generous in portion and tastes excellent.

5. No. 17 Pilaf King: An old brand with much better meat than other places. It can be eaten with yogurt.

6. Abula’s Nang: The freshly baked nang has an attractive golden yellow color, with white sesame seeds covering its crust. When you bite into it, the aroma of wheat and sesame fills your mouth, leaving a lasting impression. Generally, it can be stored for a week without any issues.
