The most famous alpine lake and snowy mountain scenic area in Xinjiang, located nearly 120 kilometers from Urumqi. It is possible to make a round trip in one day. Tianshan Tianchi boasts extremely magnificent scenery, with snowy mountains towering above the clouds, charming snow-capped spruces, and joyful pastoral ballads occasionally echoing from yurts… It is the earliest 5A scenic area in Xinjiang.

Urumqi – Tianchi (one-way 120 kilometers, 2-hour drive)
Gather punctually at the designated location at 9:00 am; take a bus to Tianshan Tianchi Scenic Area, known as the "Pearl of Tianshan". Then take a shuttle bus to ascend Tianchi (expenses included) to visit the six scenic spots of Tianchi: Stone Gate Line, Anchor of Calm Seas, Dragon Pond with Jade-like Moon, Hanging Spring Waterfall, South Mountain Viewing Snow, and West Mountain Viewing Pines. Overlook the Bogda Snowy Peak by Tianchi Lake, seek out the beautiful legends of the Queen Mother of the West, and inquire about the historical origin of Tianchi (about 1 hour of touring). Enjoy the scenic beauty of the alpine lake with four seasons in one day and different scenery in each season. Free time for 1 hour (optional: take the mountain cable car at your own expense to reach the top of the snowy mountain to overlook the sacred peak and panoramic view of Tianchi), then return to Urumqi downtown and dismiss the group at the entrance of Hongshan Corps Hotel.
