　　The best travel time to Southern Xinjiang, the southern part of Xinjiang, encompasses the Tarim Basin, the Xinjiang section of the Kunlun Mountains, and the Turpan Basin. Located in the hinterland of the Eurasian continent, far from the ocean, the climate here is dry all year round. China’s Taklamakan Desert is located here.​

　　If you plan to visit Southern Xinjiang, it is recommended to go between June and October. Firstly, the weather is relatively good, and the scenery is also better. For example, the Duku Highway opens in early June, and from September to October, you can visit the Hu Yanglin Forest along the Tarim River. You can also explore the Taklamakan Desert and Kashgar Old Town. From June to September, Bayinbrook is particularly beautiful.
