The 18 brand-new carriages completed in 2020 include 8 Golden Diamond luxury carriages and 10 Blue Diamond carriages. Each Golden Diamond luxury carriage can carry 8 passengers and consists of 4 suites with private bathrooms and large beds; each Blue Diamond carriage can carry 28 passengers and consists of 7 compartments sharing public restrooms and showers.
Highlights of the New Oriental Train:
1. Compared to ordinary trains or dedicated trains, its airtightness, stability, and shock absorption have been significantly improved.
2. The noise decibel data of the air-conditioning system meets the standards. The compressor used is a universal train compressor, and the vehicle has undergone strict third-party testing and exceeds the standards before leaving the factory. The main air duct design has been updated, adopting a static pressure sealing chamber, with side air vents and electric ventilation regulators. The air compressor has an independent air supply system, which can assist in air supply when there is no generator. The airflow is gentle, and when the vehicle’s airspeed reaches a certain level, it automatically releases air pressure. This setting is unique to special service trains and is not found in ordinary trains. This train has increased power and improved air duct material, providing heat dissipation, insulation, and moisture retention.
3. The entire train has design highlights: 1) It currently features the largest private rooms with showers in China; the showers in the entire train are separated into wet and dry areas, and the partition material design is currently the most advanced. 2) The original 1064mm windows have been replaced with 25T type 1528mm large viewing windows for the corridors and rooms; 3) Each room has an additional air volume adjustment switch; 4) The upper bunk comes with a damping device and can be folded up close to the wall; this is currently the most advanced in China. 5) Each bedside in the private rooms is equipped with a 5-pin socket (AC200V/300W, 2 sets in total) for computer and mobile phone charging with USB interfaces; a set of 5-pin sockets (AC200V/1500W) is installed at the multi-functional table, and a 5-pin socket with a splash-proof face box (AC200V/1500W) is installed in the restroom; 6) Vacuum waste collection devices are installed in the restrooms; 7) Exclusive ceramic toilets throughout the train. 8) The train has undergone a special formaldehyde removal process and meets national and international standards.
