The New Oriental Express is China’s new luxury tourist train. The hardware configuration, dining services, and intimate service from staff on board are comparable to those of star hotels. The accommodation carriages include eight Prestige Golden Diamond sections (each with four luxury suites, each suite accommodating a maximum of two people, featuring an independent bathroom/desk/wardrobe/safe) and four Luxury Blue Diamond sections (each with seven rooms, with each room capable of accommodating 2-4 people in one compartment; the carriage has two compartments, sharing a bathroom with a shower/refrigerator). The bathrooms are fully equipped, and the compartments have extra-large scenic windows and exclusive bedroom furniture. The entire train is equipped with a luxury bar/entertainment carriage and a Chinese restaurant carriage, staffed by professional chefs, offering a full range of high-end VIP tourism services.

The 18 brand-new carriages built in 2020 include 8 Gold Diamond luxury carriages and 10 Blue Diamond carriages.
Equipment introduction:

Highlights of the new train:
1. Compared with ordinary trains or special trains, it greatly improves sealing, stability, and shock absorption.
2. The noise decibel data of the cold air system meets standards. The compressor adopts a train-specific compressor, and the vehicle undergoes strict third-party testing and leaves the factory with ultra-high standards. The main air duct design has been updated, adopting a static pressure sealing chamber, with side air vents and electric ventilation regulators. The air compressor has an independent air supply system, which can assist in air supply when there is no generator. The air outlets are soft, and when the vehicle’s air speed reaches a certain amount, it will automatically release air pressure. This is unique to special service official cars and is not found in ordinary cars. The power of this car is increased, the air duct material is improved, providing heat dissipation, insulation, and moisture preservation.

1) It is currently the domestic compartment with the largest shower area; the entire shower room is separated into dry and wet areas, and the partition material design is advanced.
2) The original 1064mm train windows have been changed to 25t type 1528mm panoramic windows in the corridors and rooms; 3) Each room has an air volume adjustment switch;
