8-night 9-day quality itinerary arrangement of the Grand Xinjiang Special Train
D1 Various Locations — Urumqi — Beitun
After arriving in Urumqi from all over the country, take a short rest and gather at Urumqi Station (High-speed Railway Station). At about 9:00 pm, take the Grand Xinjiang Special Train to Beitun City, where the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps started their reclamation.
D2 Beitun — Kanas
Arrive at Beitun Railway Station at 7:30 am, pass through Beitun, an important town of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and head to Burqin, a small riverside town with Russian flavor, for breakfast. After breakfast, depart for Kanas scenic area, passing through barren desert landscapes such as Baisha Mountain and the picturesque Agenggaiti Grassland. Arrive at the Jiadengyu living area within the Kanas scenic area for lunch. After lunch, transfer to the scenic area shuttle bus to enter the [Kanas Scenic Area] (entrance ticket and second entry of the shuttle bus are included). Take a sightseeing tour along the Kanas River, enjoying the primitive Siberian larch forest, birch forest scenery, Shenxianwan, Wolongwan, Moon Bay, and Yazehu. The terminal of this shuttle bus segment is the "Transfer Center", then return to Jiadengyu. After dinner, check in at a hotel in Jiadengyu.
D3 Kanas – Hemu
After breakfast, re-enter the Kanas scenic area to enjoy the morning glow and foggy scenery of Kanas Lake,…After lunch, return to Jiadenyu and take the shuttle bus to the [Hemu Scenic Area], known as "God’s Private Reserve" (entrance fee and shuttle bus fee included). The beautiful scenery along the way is endless, with dense birch forests sometimes hiding trickling streams winding through, and sometimes vast and magnificent rapids rushing by. Arrive at the Hemu village and check into the wooden cabin hotel. Then visit the scenery of the Hemu River, take a leisurely walk in the birch forest, climb up the Hadeng observation platform to overlook the ancient Hemu village, and immerse yourself in the tranquility and leisure. Have dinner at the hotel according to the notified gathering time. After dinner, free activities; wander under the sparkling stars of the ancient Hemu village.
D4 Hemu – Beitun – Yining
Get up early to enjoy the sunrise, then take the Hemu shuttle bus back to Jiadenyu for lunch. After lunch, take the tourist bus back to Burqin County, passing through the colorful fairy-tale world and the world’s first beach – [Wucaitan] (complimentary entrance fee and excess mileage fare). Visit the Yadan wind-erosion landform. Then arrive in Beitun and take the tourist train to Yining.
D5 Beitun – Yining
At about 10:00 am, take the Beautiful Xinjiang Special Train from Beitun to the border city of Yining. Enjoy the scenery of the Tianshan Mountains along the way. Arrive in Yining at about 9:26 pm and check into the hotel.
D6 Yining – Bayinbrook – Nalati
After breakfast, take a car to Bayinbrook and visit China’s second-largest grassland, [Bayinbrook Grassland] (entrance fee and shuttle bus fee included). Visit the Swan Reserve – Swan Lake. Swan Lake is a high-mountain wetland lake, surrounded by continuous snowy peaks, forming a natural barrier for the lake. Observe the marvelous scenery of the Kaidu River’s Nine-Bend and Eighteen-Turn section, which is 516 kilometers long and has up to 1,142 bends. It is truly said that "the tortuous water flows east, and only after thousands of twists and turns does it reach its end." (Tour time is approximately 3 hours). Afterwards, proceed to Nalati to check into the hotel.
D7 Nalati – Yining
After breakfast, take the tourist bus to one of the world’s four major alpine river valley grasslands – [National AAAAA Scenic Area Nalati] (entrance fee included). Along the way, mountain flowers bloom, peaks are adorned with fluttering butterflies, and tents dot the landscape. You can also see small patches of diversiform-leaved poplar forests, feeling their tenacious life force and unyielding posture. Passing through the Wusu Ancient Tomb Group; you can enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Gongnais Valley along the way. Arrive in Nalati Town for lunch. After lunch, take the scenic area’s [River Valley Grassland Shuttle Bus] (fare included) to the Nalati scenic area to experience Kazak folk customs (tour time is approximately 3.5 hours, including the time to enter and exit the scenic area via the river valley shuttle bus). You can take self-paid tours within the scenic area, such as sightseeing buses, horse riding, tandem bicycles, lawn motorcycles, etc., to feel the charm of the grasslands. Afterwards, take a car to Yining to check into the hotel.
D8 Yining – Sayram Lake – Khorgos Port – Yining – Urumqi
After breakfast, pass by Guozi Valley Bridge, known as the first scenic spot in Yili, with a car view of [Asia’s largest mountain cable-stayed bridge] (cannot stop due to traffic reasons). Take an air-conditioned tourist bus to the mysterious and beautiful alpine lake – Sayram Lake (entrance fee included). Take a bus to the west bank scenic area (complimentary lake circuit tour fee) for a tour or free activities for about 100 minutes. After lunch, visit Horgos Port, one of China’s three major land trade ports. Learn about the distribution of aromatic plants and products in the world. Yili is the national lavender base, where you can learn more about lavender up close and take photos with the sea of flowers and colorful flower belts (free activity visit for about 50 minutes). Return to Yining by bus and take the train to Urumqi.
D9 Urumqi – Various Destinations
Arrive at Urumqi Station in the morning and end your pleasant journey back in beautiful Urumqi! End of the pleasant itinerary.

Accommodation: Four-star local accommodations throughout the trip. Natural single rooms are not provided, and any resulting single room supplement will be borne by the guest.
Meals: The entire tour includes 7 breakfasts and 12 lunches. The lunch standard is ten people per table, with eight dishes and one soup (excluding special meals and meals on the train).
