[Searching for the Most Beautiful April Days on Earth]
Spring in Xinjiang is splendid,
But to truly experience the splendor here,
Then you must go see the apricot blossoms.
Tulgen
The primitive wild apricot forest left over from the Middle Ages, Tulgen Apricot Grove, is located in Tulgen Township, Xinyuan County, Yili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. It covers an area of over 30,000 mu and is one of the regions with a relatively concentrated distribution of wild apricot forests in Xinjiang.
The apricot grove slopes in Xinghua Valley are undulating and gracefully lined. Every spring, when flowers bloom, the wild apricot forest hidden deep in the Yili River Valley transforms into a fairyland on earth, surpassing the enchanting peach blossoms of三生三世十里桃花.
Daxigou
Not inferior to the pink sea of apricot blossoms in Xinghua Valley
The apricot blossoms in Daxigou are no less beautiful than those in Tulgen. Moreover, the slopes have graceful lines, with gentle slopes and steep cliffs beautifully combined. The winding river flows, and in the distance, snow-capped mountains stand tall. Every snapshot taken here feels like a masterpiece.
By early April, this place transforms into a sea of apricot blossoms, with every hill adorned with wild forests blooming with flowers.
Surprisingly, it’s not just apricot blossoms here. The flower viewing season lasts from early April to early May.
The first to bloom are the pink apricot blossoms, followed closely by wild roses and wild plums, with apple blossoms as the grand finale. The air is filled with a rich floral aroma, truly intoxicating!
Turpan Apricot Forest
The ‘First Stop’ of Spring in Xinjiang
When it comes to the place in Xinjiang that ushers in spring the earliest, it’s undoubtedly Turpan.
The apricot blossoms in Turpan bloom earlier than those in Tulgen, earning it the title of Xinjiang’s ‘First Spring’. Under the bright sunshine, apricot blossoms flourish in the chilly northern Xinjiang, bringing a vibrant spring atmosphere.

Today’s Xinjiang,
Not just romantic apricot blossoms~
The mystical and holy Tianshan Mountains
Tianshan is one of Asia’s greatest mountain ranges. The nearby grasslands are lush and green, with herds of cattle and sheep grazing. In the distance, the mountain peaks stretch endlessly, covered in gleaming white snow, exuding a mystical and holy aura.
The Hongshan Grand Canyon, a marvel of nature
Hongshan Grand Canyon, also known as Anjihai Grand Canyon, has yet to be developed. The crisscrossing ravines extend from the peaks all the way down to the valley floor.
Sapphire-like Sayram Lake
In spring, Sayram Lake is half water and half ice, with snow still piled up along the lakeside. Swans play in the lake while sunlight shines down, creating a picturesque scene as exquisite as a painting.
