Is it fun to visit Xinjiang in winter? How to plan a trip to Xinjiang?
The majestic Tianshan Mountains are dreamlike and enchanting.
In winter, the countryside is silent.
Yet Yili is not lonely.
The scenery here
Ink-wash painting-like scenery
It’s like entering a fairyland in a dream.
The men here ride their horses at full speed.
Free like the wind
Galloping across the snowy plains brings forth a sense of heroism.
When winter comes to Yili,
It feels like entering a crystal-clear fairy tale world.
It makes one marvel at the wonders of nature.
Yili River
In winter, wandering along the Yili River in Yining, the misty morning fog lingers and swirls, creating a dreamlike and enchanting atmosphere that stirs the imagination.
The rime hanging on the branches is crystal clear and sparkling. Beautiful egrets dance gracefully, like celestial beings.
The pleasant climate, fresh air, and tranquil countryside form a beautiful ink painting of the northern landscapes.
Swan Pond
Yili Swan Pond is a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of the world. A group of pure white fairies live here, playing in icy water throughout the day.
The unique climate and moisture make it common to see tree icicles at Swan Pond. The swans amidst the morning mist, blended with rime, create a scene as beautiful as a fairyland.
The beautiful natural scenery of Swan Lake and the elegant swans in the lake are all within sight. Flocks of swans are playing leisurely, looking like dots of white sails from afar.
Nalati
Entering winter, after each heavy snowfall, the Nalati Grassland in Xinyuan County, Xinjiang, is covered in silver and crystal-clear ice and snow, embedded on the grassland and withered trees.
The vast snowy plain stretches out with snow-covered ridges, and occasionally herds of cattle, sheep, and horses wander across the snowfield, forming a vivid snowy ink painting scroll.
This winter, the Nalati Scenic Area was opened to the public for the first time, and the ‘four seasons tourism’ model was launched. Coming here, you can view snow-capped mountains, see ice sculptures, go off-piste skiing, experience the fun of ice and snow, and enjoy an ice and snow feast~
Zhaosu
In the summer of Zhaosu, the mountains are green, the grass is lush, the lavender is purple, and the large fields of rapeseed flowers are golden yellow. Colorful wildflowers and tulips can be seen everywhere.
Compared to the colorful summer, the colors of winter seem somewhat monotonous, with blue skies and white snow.
The winter in Zhaosu is a long meditation. We sit on the ground and draw the outline of falling snow.
And then, in the wedge of this season, I write down my thoughts, which are implicit and fresh, as well as quiet and romantic.
Therefore, the winter in Zhaosu is simple yet not plain, lively and atmospheric, full of charm. Everywhere is so pure that it breaks one’s heart, inspiring creative impulses at all times.
Kalajun
Kalajun is quiet in winter, yet not without implication. It is reserved yet full of passion.
The winter sun shines brightly. Under its rays, the snowflakes are quietly melting. Gently holding the snowflakes in the palm of your hand, you can throw them out to form an arched thread.
Footprints are scattered in the snow, leaving bursts of joyful laughter. Such a wonderful time is suitable for quietly listening to the conversation between heaven and earth.
Tuokelake
In winter, during cold and foggy weather, due to the oversaturated water vapor in the air condensing when it encounters cold, fog droplets freeze and attach to the loose frost layer on the windward side of vegetation and other objects, forming a rime landscape.
The silent countryside, with distant greenish-black mountains undulating in the distance, has a refreshing chill in the air, intoxicating the senses.
On those trees, rows and clusters of white ice and snow waterfalls hang down. Each branch is adorned with rime, making them very beautiful, like brides-to-be, shyly hanging down their crystal tassels and gracefully displaying their charm.
Those slender saplings have turned into blooming white chrysanthemums, with various poses and shining brightly. It is truly a romantic realm that makes people reluctant to leave.
Daxigou
After bidding farewell to the abundant autumn harvest, Daxigou ushered in a winter with fluttering snowflakes. Snowflakes fell from the sky one after another, and soon the ground, trees, and mountain tops turned white.
Winter snow silently falls from the distant horizon, like feather-light snowflakes scattered on the fiery red wild fruit trees and the earth with lingering warmth. It seems like dressing the earth with a layer of white down jacket! What a strong and beautiful ink painting!
In the winter of Daxigou, most days are sunny, neither too dry nor too cold and damp. It is definitely a good choice for enjoying snow.
