I. Itinerary Arrangement
D1. Arrive in Urumqi
Arrive in Urumqi by flight. Pick up and check into the hotel. In the afternoon, you can also visit and take photos of Xinjiang’s Western Region customs at Erdaoqiao International Bazaar, and taste the grilled mutton skewers, pilaf, and naan that are popular nationwide, experiencing the flavor of Xinjiang.
Friendly Reminder: There is a 2-hour time difference between Xinjiang and the mainland. In Xinjiang, people start work at 10 a.m., have lunch at 2 p.m., and dinner at 8 p.m. Nightlife in Xinjiang is rich, and the public security in Xinjiang is excellent!
d2 Urumqi/Lopnur Village/Korla (360KM, about 6 hours): Stay in Korla
Head to the City of Pears – Korla by car, and proceed to Yuli to shoot at the [Lopnur Village]. The Lop people are one of the sparse ethnic groups and are not listed among the 56 ethnic groups in China. They live by the river and make a living by fishing, and are known as the people of Populus euphratica in the depths of the Tarim River. South of Lopnur Village lies the vast Taklamakan Desert, which undulates endlessly and surges with power. The longest inland river in China – the Tarim River winds like a snake, and the world’s largest primitive Populus euphratica forest is a scenic route that one cannot get enough of. In the evening, capture and appreciate the magnificent desert scenery of ‘A lonely column of smoke rises straight into the sky, the setting sun rounds over the long river’.
D3. Korla/Kuqa/Kuqa Grand Canyon (380KM, about 6 hours): Stay in Kuqa
Drive to Kuqa, which was once the location of the ancient Qiuci among the

Along the Gobi oasis on the southern slope of Mount Tianshan, we will take a car ride all the way to [Kashgar], an important town in southern Xinjiang. After obtaining border defense documents, we will head to [Xiangfei Tomb] to visit this incredibly beautiful beauty of the Western Regions.

D7/10.16: Taxkorgan/Kashgar (about 400KM, about 8 hours): Stay in Kashgar
Head to the [Stone City] (at an altitude of about 3100m), located on a small hill northeast of the county town. It is a famous ancient city site on the ancient Silk Road in Xinjiang and a prominent cultural symbol of the Pamir Plateau.
