The long-awaited National Day holiday is approaching. Don’t stay at home anymore. Go out for a stroll. It’s not too late to plan now.

Xinjiang possesses both beautiful scenery and rich culture, making it an never dull destination for any traveler. The vast and diverse landscapes here coexist with vitality and desolation. There are apricot blossoms blooming all over the mountains, vast grassland scenery, golden birch forests, as well as endless desert landscapes, blazing Huoyan Mountain, and desolate and magnificent Yardang landforms.

The ancient Silk Road, which was once bustling, has endowed it with rich and profound cultural heritage. Turpan, Hami, Kashgar, Kuqa, Hotan, etc., were all important towns on the once bustling route. Until today, they still retain traces and evidence of religious, commercial, and cultural integration among various ethnic groups from that era, attracting numerous cultural travelers to explore.

  Huoyan Mountain

Huoyan Mountain, known as ‘Keziltag’ in Uyghur, means ‘Red Mountain’. It was once called ‘Volcano’ due to its intense heat.

Due to the widely known story of Sun Wukong borrowing the Bajiaoshan fan three times to extinguish the blazing fire of Huoyan Mountain in ‘Journey to the West’, Huoyan Mountain has become famous worldwide. The Huoyan Mountain range runs east-west, starting from Lankan Liusha River in Shanshan County in the east and ending at Taoergou in Turpan in the west, spanning 100km.
