The XDF Express luxury tourist train is affiliated with the Xinjiang Urumqi Railway Bureau of China Railway Group. After a comprehensive upgrade and renovation in 2021, it was officially opened to domestic tourists. The XDF Express, carefully crafted by the Urumqi Railway Bureau, is China’s top-tier luxury tourist train. You only need to select a tour date based on your travel plans, make a deposit upon confirmation, and settle the balance 30 days before departure.
The XDF Express tourist train in Xinjiang covers panoramic routes in both northern and southern Xinjiang, with both the starting point and endpoint at Urumqi Station. The transportation costs to and from Urumqi nationwide are not included, and you need to arrive in Urumqi by air or train on your own. We will provide airport pickup services.
The special train offers both Gold Diamond and Blue Diamond cars for your choice:
Gold Diamond cars: Each car can carry 8 passengers and has 4 luxury 2-person suites, each suite being approximately 10 square meters in size. They are equipped with independent bathrooms, shower rooms (with a wet and dry separation area), extra-large glass viewing double beds, as well as desks, wardrobes, safes, and a shared mini-fridge. Each car is equipped with a dedicated butler.
Blue Diamond cars: Each car can carry 28 passengers and has 7 4-person suites, which can also be upgraded to 2-person suites. The suites have upper and lower berths, with an extra-wide lower berth and an upper berth (which can be folded up and secured against the wall). The 7 suites share a bathroom and shower room. It is generally recommended for 2-4 people to stay, which is more cost-effective and offers higher privacy.
The price of the XDF Express is determined based on the travel date and itinerary. Prices may fluctuate due to the peak and off-peak seasons of tourism in Xinjiang. The price for a Gold Diamond suite is approximately RMB 30,000-60,000 per person (for a room accommodating 2 people), and the price for a Blue Diamond suite is approximately RMB 20,000-40,000 per person (for a room accommodating 2-4 people). Prices are unified nationwide, with no preferential policies.
The train consists of 5 luxury Blue Diamond cars, 1 executive bar car, 2 music dining cars, and 8 Supreme Gold Diamond cars (or configured as 5 luxury Blue Diamond cars + 5 Silver Diamond presidential cars). Each car is equipped with a dedicated attendant and provides paid laundry services.
For safety reasons, the windows cannot be opened, and smoking is prohibited throughout the train. To adjust the air conditioning and ventilation temperature in the room, please contact the attendant. The executive bar car provides paid services such as beverages, snacks, and coffee.
