Erdaoqiao Grand Bazaar
Shuimo Valley Park
In the northeast suburbs of Urumqi City lies a large mountain park, the famous Shuimo Valley Scenic Area. Shuimo Valley boasts beautiful scenery, with Qingquan Mountain, Shuita Mountain, Hongqiao Mountain, and Wenquan Mountain standing tall on all sides. Water Park
Due to subway construction and the extension project of Santunbei, there will be no parking available for visitors to Water Park during the long holiday.
Traffic police suggest: Citizens heading to Water Park from the downtown area should preferably take the bus; if driving to Water Park, they can choose to enter Yan’erwo Road from Yanbei Bridge on Hetan Expressway and take the bus after finding a parking lot along the route.

Wujiaqu Qinghu Yuyuan
During the long holiday, when citizens choose to drive for tourism, many will take the Yingbin Road – U-Wu Highway – Anningqu Road – enter Wujiaqu route, and the congestion mainly occurs on the Anningqu Road section.
Police predict that the traffic congestion on the U-Wu Highway will peak between 10:30 am and 2:00 pm daily during the long holiday. Traffic police suggest taking the following two routes to avoid congestion: Beijing Road – Tong’an Road – Anmi East Street – Anningqu Road – enter Wujiaqu; Wuchang Expressway – Lvzhou North Road – S231 Line – S102 Line – enter Wujiaqu.
Tianshan Tianchi Lake
About 100 kilometers away from Urumqi, it is a World Natural Heritage Site, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, a national geological park, a national key scenic area, a national civilized scenic tourism area, an international man and biosphere reserve, China’s best tourist destination, one of China’s top ten scenic areas with the best resource protection, and one of China’s top ten charming leisure tourism lakes.
Nanshan Scenic Area is located in Urumqi County, south of Urumqi City. It is a provincial scenic area located in the extremely arid region of the Eurasian hinterland, featuring ice and snow landscapes, lush forests and grasslands, unique rocks, superior tourism climate, alpine pastoral scenery, and rich ethnic minority customs. It also showcases modern human landscapes. With towering snow-capped peaks, undulating mountains, lush forests, flowers and plants everywhere, trickling springs, and charming scenery, it is a resort for summer vacation and tourism. Some of the more famous destinations include East and West Poplar Valley, Houxia, Gangan Valley, Dengcao Valley, Shuixi Valley, Miaoer Valley, and Banfang Valley. Each scenic area shares the common natural landscape characteristics of the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains, but they also have distinct individual characteristics.
Shiren Valley
Shiren Valley is located about 20 kilometers away from Urumqi City. It is one of the surrounding scenic areas under the jurisdiction of Shuimo Valley District, Urumqi, situated at the edge of Dongshan District and next to Shiren Valley Village.
Shirengou is named for its stones, and Shirengou Village is different from other ordinary villages because of its stones. Nature’s incredible craftsmanship is astonishing. These abrupt boulders seem to have fallen from the sky. From afar, you can see the prominent stones on the hillside ahead. Their rugged and strange appearance is so different from the gentle slope behind them, not like they originally grew here, but like they fell from the sky. There’s a joke in Wuerhe Ghost City: There’s only one wind here all year round, blowing from New Year’s Day to New Year’s Eve. Perhaps it is this year-round wind that has given birth to the evil name of ‘Ghost City’. It has a typical Xinjiang landscape – Yardang landform, barren but colorful under the setting sun, resembling a medieval castle with varying heights and overlaps, a unique landscape in the Gobi Desert.

Stretching for more than ten miles,魔鬼城 (Ghost City) of Fuhai surrounds Xiaohaizi Lake, with nine major valleys arranged in sequence: Lover’s Valley, Snake Valley, Broken Bridge Valley, Heartless Valley, Zigzag Intestine Valley, Crane Valley, Confusing Valley, Eagle Valley, and Falcon Valley. The names themselves are full of martial arts sentiment, but they also convey a sense of desolation. Years of wind erosion and rainworm damage have formed uniquely shaped landscapes, like a castle floating on the water, always awaiting the discovery of martial arts masters.

This place, once named the "Most Beautiful Lake in China" by Chinese National Geography, still quietly radiates its charm. The lake water is clear and pure, changing colors with the light and surrounding scenery. The lake winds through the primitive forest, and the vast grassland encompasses trees with golden and dark green leaves alternating along the shore. The sky is exceptionally blue, with white clouds gazing affectionately at the golden yellow on the hillside, as if you are in a dream, too beautiful to be real. At the northernmost entrance to the lake, a kilometer-long dike of dead floating wood is another wonder of Kanas. Logically, dead wood should float downstream, but the dead wood here is strangely upstream, forming this magical dike over the years.
