Five Places in Xinjiang
Xinjiang currently has 12 national 5A scenic spots, ranking first in the west. In addition, there are more than 70 4A scenic spots and more than 94 3A scenic spots, with very rich tourism resources. 1. Sayram Lake
The only place in China that is directly nourished by Atlantic rainfall, and a lake with a high altitude and large area in Xinjiang. Here, not only is the clear water like a mirror, but the scenery along the way is like a hundred-mile gallery. Many people come here from afar to take wedding photos, which shows how beautiful the scenery is.
2. Baihaba Village
Baihaba Village (Baihaba Scenic Area) is known as the First Village in the Northwest and the First Post in the Northwest. It is located in Tereketi Township, Habahe County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, on the border between China and Kazakhstan, only 1.5 kilometers away from East Silek, Kazakhstan, connected by a national defense highway. Baihaba Village is honored as one of China’s eight small towns. Here, you can see the original ecology and ancient cultural heritage. Everything in the village still maintains its inherent primitive features for hundreds of years. Being among them, you can feel tranquility and peace.
3. Apricot Blossom Valley
Xinjiang Apricot Blossom Valley is located in Turgen Township, Xinyuan County, Ili Prefecture, Xinjiang. This is an original wild apricot forest left over from the Middle Ages, concentrated on the north bank of the Gongjis River, covering an area of more than 30,000 mu. Xinjiang Apricot Blossom Valley is one of the areas with a relatively concentrated distribution of wild apricot forests in Xinjiang. The time usually concentrates around April 20. At this time, there is more spring rain in Xinjiang Apricot Blossom Valley. At the same time, the fruits of Xinjiang Apricot Blossom Valley will also ripen in June, which is a good opportunity to taste the delicious fruits. The apricot blossoms bloom and fade within about 7 days. Due to the overall north-south orientation of Xinjiang Apricot Blossom Valley and its deer-antler-like overall structure, an excellent layered effect can be formed in Xinjiang Apricot Blossom Valley 1 to 2 hours after sunrise.
4. Keketohai Scenic Area
Located in Fuyun County, Altay Prefecture, northern Xinjiang. The Kekusuili scenic spot within has many birds gathering to reproduce, and the lake surface with the sky and water merging into one is refreshing. Inside, there are also places like Yileimu Lake, Shenzhong Mountain, Baihua Grassland, etc., that are pleasing to the eyes and heart.
5. Devil’s City
Devil’s City, also known as Ulho Wind City. It is located in the Ulho mining area at the downstream of Jiamu River on the northwestern edge of the Junggar Basin, 1 kilometer southwest of Karamay City. There is a unique wind-eroded landform with strange shapes. The locals, the Mongolians, call this city ‘Sulumu Hake’, and the Kazakhs call it ‘Shayitankeerxi’, meaning Devil’s City. In fact, this is a typical Yardan landform area.
