Kanas, a Pure Land of the World
Kanas, in Mongolian, means ‘a beautiful and mysterious place’. It is located in the Altay Prefecture of Xinjiang, with vast fertile lands and lush greenery as far as the eye can see.
It is a rare boreal temperate plant gene bank in the world today;
It is the birthplace of the Burqin River, the largest tributary of the Irtysh River;
It is the last settlement of the Mongolian Tuvans in China………

On August 11, 1985, the Xinjiang Daily published a striking news on its front page: ‘A Giant Red Fish Found in Kanas Lake. The width of the fish’s head is over one meter, the length of the fish body is about 10 to 15 meters, and its weight exceeds 4 tons………’
Could the Kanas water monster possibly be a monster that humans have yet to discover, a behemoth similar to a prehistoric crocodile or dinosaur……… This remains an unsolved mystery to this day.
