During the New Year’s Day holiday in 2025, Xinjiang’s tourism market was hot, with a series of diverse cultural tourism activities and preferential policies launched, attracting a large number of tourists to come and experience it.
During the New Year’s Day holiday, multiple cultural tourism activities were held across Xinjiang. According to statistics, there were 727 cultural tourism activities above the county and city level across the region, covering various forms such as intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, cultural and artistic performances, ice and snow tourism, and sports events.

In addition, in order to stimulate the vitality of cultural tourism consumption, the cultural tourism departments across Xinjiang have also launched 153 preferential policies, including policy guidance, financial support, platform cooperation, and other methods, providing tourists with more benefits and convenience.

Major ski resorts received a large number of visitors, and the variety of ice and snow tourism products continued to enrich. For example, the Urumqi Silk Road International Resort Area and Baiyun International Ski Resort held overnight New Year’s Eve activities, Yili Prefecture launched ten winter tourism products and three elite ice and snow tourism routes, and Altay吉克普林 International Ski Resort hosted the FWT Freestyle Skiing World Tour, among others.
