Which month is suitable to visit Xinjiang? Which month is Xinjiang the most beautiful?
People always ask, when is the best time to visit Xinjiang? Regarding this question, I really don’t know how to answer. In Xinjiang, different seasons have different landscapes. Therefore, I have compiled a Xinjiang travel schedule here, hoping it will be helpful to everyone.
March: Flower viewing
From March to April, Xinjiang is dominated by flowers. The apricot blossoms in Turpan usher in spring first, followed by the apricot blossoms in Yili, scattered on the early spring prairie like oil paintings, stunningly beautiful!
April: Desert
May: Southern Xinjiang and Eastern Xinjiang. Although it’s spring in Eastern Xinjiang, southern Xinjiang has already been filled with spring flowers. It’s a great choice to visit southern Xinjiang at this time. The vast and magnificent Pamir Plateau; the majestic and beautiful scenery at the foot of Kunlun Mountain in Hotan, and the honest and natural customs of the Hotan people; the desert scenery of Kuqa and Korla, and the mysterious Grand Canyon in Kuqa…
Eastern Xinjiang, which includes the Hami and Barkol areas of Xinjiang, has newly developed scenic spots such as Barkol Grassland, the New Northern Silk Road, and the Beiting Protectorate in recent years. In May, the East Tianshan Mountains are beautiful. Especially Barkol Grassland, where the grass turns green nearly a month earlier than the Yili Grassland. The grassland at the foot of East Tianshan and the snowy peaks of Tianshan Mountain form a stunningly beautiful picture. June: Northern Xinjiang
Flowers are blooming and the grass is lush. Let’s not mention the intoxicating green of the Nalati Grassland, Bayanbulak Grassland, and Tangbula Grassland. The red tulips and yellow rapeseed flowers along the way alone have made Yili’s June radiant. There is also the tranquility of the Xiate Ancient Path, the majesty of the Karakorum Grassland, and the romance of lavender. The entire June belongs to Yili, and it is a paradise for countless tourists who long for Yili’s colorful world!
July – August: All regions of Xinjiang are beautiful
The best time to travel to Xinjiang is now, when the weather has started to cool down and the fruits are ripe. The beautiful prairies, the serene Sayram Lake, I don’t need to elaborate on how beautiful they are. You’ll know when you come.
September: Colorful
Xinjiang’s autumn is like a painter’s palette knocked over by God, colorful. At this time, the 5th Boundary Marker in Baihaba, the first village in northwest China, is extremely beautiful. The Red Tree Gully in Keketohai is a season of alternating yellow and red around September 25th. There is also Baisha Lake, which looks like an oil painting in this season.
Autumn is still strong
After several autumn rains, the leaves of the birch forest in northern Xinjiang fall one after another, with the trunks standing in the wind, presenting a somber and beautiful oil painting effect. Go to the desert to see the千年不死 (eternal) poplar forest. The clear blue sky, golden leaves, and twisted trunks in various poses show its tenacity and grandeur in the desert. The poplar forest in Mulai, northern Xinjiang, in early October, and the poplar forests in Luntai and Yuli in late October, as well as Zepu Golden Lake Yang, a 5A scenic spot in Kashgar, are waiting for you to appreciate their time-worn beauty and glory.
November – March of the next year: Ice and snow
In winter, Xinjiang becomes a world of ice and snow, with scenic spots such as the ice and snow fairy tale of Hemu Village, the ice and snow style tour of Tian Chi in Mount Tianshan, and the Kashgar folk customs tour. In addition, Xinjiang in its long winter is a paradise for outdoor sports enthusiasts such as skiing, skating, and desert trekking. No matter which month you come, Xinjiang is extremely beautiful. Now, let’s take a spontaneous trip!
