From mid-June to the end of July, millions of acres of golden rapeseed flowers, continuous purple lavender stretching to the horizon, and undulating golden sunflowers bloom in sequence according to their respective growth and flowering periods. During this time, the endless spring migration of large herds of cattle and sheep, the splendid Kalajun meadow adorned with a riot of colors, the naturally formed Nine-Bend and Eighteen-Bay scenery of Bayinbuluke Wetland, and the holy swans singing loudly in the depths of the secret realm continuously awe the souls of photographers and inspire artists with boundless creative inspiration.
From September 10th to October 5th, Kanas in northern Xinjiang is full of romance and passion during the golden autumn! This primitive mountainous area, praised by the world as "God’s Palette, the God’s Backyard", is randomly painted with gold and fire red on the forests and fields. The morning sun lights up the snowy peak of Hemu Village, and the wooden houses scattered at the bottom of the valley rise with curling smoke; the classic three bays of "Wolong, Moon, and Fairy" appear and disappear among the clouds and mist, and the ancient "Su’er" of the mysterious Tuwas takes you back to distant memories; the morning smoke of "the First Village in the Northwest" Baihaba Village makes people breathless and lingering, and the blue water surface and colorful riverbanks of the Irtysh River reflect dazzling colors in the afterglow; the ancient suspension bridge and the camel shadows walking in the afterglow, the Devil’s City, and the colorful sunset in Colorful Bay are amazing! In autumn, the large-scale herds of cattle, sheep, and camels in the Kanas pastoral area migrate out of the mountains, continuously moving through the dust and fog covering the sky, which is recognized as a good opportunity for award-winning works in photography competitions and is also the magnificent scene that photographers have been eagerly pursuing.
From October 15th to November 10th, it is the best time to visit southern Xinjiang to capture the scenery and folklore. The diverse golden Populus euphratica forests along the Tarim River, the ancient Lop Nur village with golden Populus euphratica reflected in the blue lake in the desert, and the delicious grilled fish by the Lop Nur people on the Tarim River will make you unforgettable. Crossing the 550-kilometer "Sea of Death" Taklamakan Desert Highway, camel teams wander through the desert and Populus euphratica forests. Immerse yourself in the unique Western Regions atmosphere of Hotan Bazaar, with beautiful Uyghur girls, fragrant charcoal-grilled eggs, exotic sand-roasted pumpkins, and a glass of freshly squeezed pomegranate juice refreshing your heart! "You haven’t been to Xinjiang if you haven’t been to Kashgar", the handmade earthenware in the Gaotai Residential Area will make you yearn. There is also the snow-capped Mount Karakoram reflected in Karakul Lake, the Mustag Ata Glacier, and Kongur Tobe Mountain, showcasing the natural scenery of the plateau. The Tajik people play the eagle flute and hand drum, welcoming you, the "guest from the glacier"…
From the end of November to early March of the next year, the snowy landscape quietly covers the mountains and rivers of Kanas in northern Xinjiang. As the temperature remains around -20 degrees Celsius for a long time, the holy Kanas, with the change of temperature and the floating snowflakes, rises up with clouds and mist from time to time, drifting freely along the hillsides and valleys. Being in it, the originally clear sky and earth suddenly become vague and detached, as if one has suddenly come to a fairyland of ice and snow in a fairy tale. With the flow of clouds and mist, the sky, sunshine, rivers, mountains, and wooden houses together constitute beautiful pictures of the world. In the Kanas scenic area, there are more than 2,000 people of the Chinese Tuwa ethnic group, who have lived in the three villages of Hemu, Kanas, and Baihaba for generations. Every Spring Festival, the Tuwas of the three villages, according to custom, gather on the frozen Kanas Lake to hold horse racing, archery, fur ski competitions, and various blessing activities.
