Encounter a Day Trip to Tianshan Tianchi on the Vast Horizon
Brief Introduction to Tianchi (5A Scenic Area): The magnificent Tianshan Mountains stretch 2,500 kilometers in length, crossing the heart of Asia and serving as the natural boundary between the Tarim Basin and the Junggar Basin. Tianchi is located on the waist of the Bogda Peak in the eastern section of Tianshan, about 120 kilometers from Urumqi, with an elevation of 1,928 meters above sea level, and is a well-known tourist attraction. The Tianshan Tianchi Scenic Area centers on a high-mountain lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and spruce trees, with clear water resembling a mirror and picturesque scenery. It was anciently known as "Yaochi", and it is said that the Peach Blossom Feast where the West Queen Mother entertained the immortals in mythology was held here. The name "Tianchi" comes from the Qing Dynasty, meaning "heavenly mirror, divine pool", emphasizing the beauty of the scenery here. The lake water is collected from melting snow on high mountains, with a depth of 105 meters, and is pure and pleasant. Every midsummer, the grass around the lake is lush and colorful, featuring four complete vertical natural landscape zones, snowy mountains, and alpine lakes as the main features. It is a famous 5A scenic area near Urumqi. Tall snowy mountains, spectacular spruce forests, and welcoming Kazakh herdsmen, etc., this place is paradise, especially for photographers!

Morning (as per the time notified by our operators), gather at the designated location and take a coach via the Tuwuda Expressway to visit the Bilincheng Tourism Town. Then proceed to the Tianshan Tianchi Scenic Area, known as the "Bright Pearl of Tianshan", with a visit to the Damei Tianshan Wild Snow Lotus Hall on the way. After arriving at the Tourist Center, transfer to a shuttle bus to view the ancient elm forest, Tianchi River Valley, Shimen Yixian (one of the Eight Sights of Tianchi), and West Small Tianchi along the way. Upon reaching the terminal of the shuttle bus, walk (or take an electric cart at your own expense) about 800 meters to reach Tianchi Lake. Visit the Fixed-Sea-God Needle, West Hill Pine Viewing, South Hill Snow Viewing, and Great Tianchi. Overlook the uniquely shaped Mayashan Scenic Area by Tianchi Lake, gaze at the snow-capped Bogda Snowy Peak, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the pine forest. Listen to the guide talk about the origin of the Fixed-Sea-God Needle. During free time (you can take the Mayashan alpine cableway at your own expense according to personal preferences to reach the top of the snowy mountain and overlook the sacred peak, take in a panoramic view of Tianchi Lake, and take a close look at the World Natural Heritage, Bogda Snowy Peak), or take a cruise to explore the fairyland scenery of Yaochi (at your own expense), visit Wangmu’s Fairy Residence, and see the only Wangmu Ancestral Temple in China. On the way back in the afternoon, visit the Hetian Jade Wholesale City free of charge to learn about jade culture or the New Silk Road Silk Culture Hall. Tourists will be dropped off at a unified location in Urumqi, ending the pleasant trip to Tianshan Tianchi!

One-day tour of Turpan, the Fire State
Urumqi – Turpan – Urumqi (round trip + attractions, 550 kilometers, approximately five and a half hours of highway driving round trip).
Assemble at the designated location around 8:00 AM (subject to the notice given the night before) and depart for Turpan! Along the way, we will pass the national-scale wind farm, Dabancheng Wind Farm, the Ten-Mile Salt Lake, and catch a glimpse of Dabancheng Ancient Town, the place praised by Wang Luobin, the King of Western Love Songs, as where beautiful Xinjiang girls live. Upon arrival at the Turpan ticket booth, the tour guide will purchase tickets while tourists can use the restrooms for free. The tour guide will queue to buy tickets at the Unified Marketing Company (next to the parking lot of the Unified Marketing Company is the Turpan Carpet Handicraft Exhibition Center, which guests can visit voluntarily or wait in front of the marketing company). A visit to the exquisite handmade carpets and jade articles with Xinjiang characteristics will surely leave you with a good first impression. After purchasing tickets, we will first head to the source of life in Turpan Oasis, known as the "underground canal," an ancient underground water conservancy project in ancient China, the Karez Well System. Then, we will have lunch (around 90 minutes). After lunch, we will catch a distant view of the magnificent Flaming Mountain (if the distant view is not satisfying enough, you can follow the tour guide to explore the spectacular Flaming Mountain Grand Canyon (entrance fee for the Beziklik Thousand Buddha Caves Scenic Area is included). Take photos in front of the Ten Thousand Buddha Mountain. You can also catch a distant view of the landmark scenic spot of the Flaming Mountain – Mantou Mountain (the location for the exterior scenes of the 1986 TV series "Journey to the West," barren and extremely desolate, it is a representative of Xinjiang’s desert landscape). Visit Turpan’s famous Buddhist site, the Beziklik Thousand Buddha Caves (the royal temple in Turpan during the Sui and Tang dynasties), which is also the filming location for "Xuanzang," "The Return of the King," "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," and "Dad, Where Are We Going?" The Beziklik Thousand Buddha Caves at the end of the Flaming Mountain Grand Canyon are located on the cliff on the west bank of Mutougou, 45 kilometers east of Turpan City. It is a group of grottoes with many caves and rich mural content among the existing grottoes in Turpan. The Beziklik Thousand Buddha Caves were first carved in the late Northern and Southern Dynasties and have gone through seven centuries, including the Tang, Five Dynasties, Song, and Yuan dynasties. It has always been the Buddhist center of the Gaochang area. The next attraction is a cool world at the foot of the Flaming Mountain, the Grape Valley with grape trellises on both sides of the stream. Guests can freely purchase Xinjiang dried fruits and seasonal fruits according to their needs! Enjoy the lively singing and dancing performances and take photos as souvenirs (one hour). Gathering at 9:00 AM, departing at 9:30 AM for Urumqi’s backyard—Tianshan Grand Canyon. The Tianshan Grand Canyon tourist attraction is located in Banfanggou Township, Nanshan, Urumqi, with an average altitude of 2000 meters. It boasts forests, canyons, alpine lakes, alpine meadows, Tianshan glaciers, snowy mountains, and other landscapes. The tourism content is rich with numerous scenic spots. It is a national scenic area where visitors can experience the beauty of Swan Lake in a high-mountain lake as well as the rich Kazakh folk customs. The scenic area encompasses eight major landscapes, covering all landscapes in Xinjiang except for deserts. It is cool and comfortable in summer and warm like spring in winter, earning praise from tourists and being a natural tourist paradise. In the morning, depart for the [Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon] scenic area (75 yuan included), which is about 80 kilometers (one-way) from Urumqi and takes about 1 hour by car. This scenic area is located within Zhaobi Mountain in Banfanggou Township, Nanshan, and is the only scenic area in the National Forest Park. There are numerous attractions within the scenic area. Take the shuttle bus (50 yuan included) to visit [Five-Hole Bridge], [Tianshui Lake], the [Tianshan Dam] costing 80 million yuan, and continue forward to visit [Hulu Mouth]. Park and take a distant shot of [Zhaobi Mountain Buddha Head]. Upon arrival at Zhaobi Mountain Villa (about 8 kilometers), visit [Seven-Snake Mountain]. Qingtou Daban allows hiking into the mountain pass to visit attractions such as Baichi Cliff, Tianquan Spring,敖包 (a Mongolian sacred mound), Four Trees, Xianjing Spring, Xian Cave, Kazakh Young Woman Breastfeeding, Haoxiong Gazing at the Moon, Swan Lake, etc. (about 18 kilometers) Lunch (around 2:30 PM) The forest in the canyon is dense with thick grass, creating a very quiet and steep environment. Animals such as elk, roe deer, marmots, and wild boars sometimes appear. Walk deep into Tianshan Mountain, feel its charm, appreciate the boundless scenery of Tianshan Mountain’s nature, and experience forest canyons, alpine lakes, alpine meadows, and Tianshan glaciers. It is an excellent destination for adventure tourism, including sightseeing, hiking, vacationing, tourism, leisure, entertainment, photography, and more.
