The first time I was shocked by the scenery of Xinjiang was in a post titled ‘Xinjiang is the pure land that God left behind on earth’. After traveling through most of China and visiting more than a dozen countries around the world, only Xinjiang can perfectly combine mountains, grasslands, deserts, oasis, Gobi deserts, Yardang landforms, cattle and sheep, wooden cabins, flower seas, forests, glaciers, lakes, snow-capped mountains, reflections, ethnic groups, music, dances, cuisine, Aidiles (a type of traditional Uyghur dress), fruits, humanities, history, the Silk Road, ancient cities, religion, and faith. From then on, my longing for Xinjiang was uncontrollable!
Besides enjoying a visual feast, everyone can also taste the special delicacies of Xinjiang and feel the taste of Xinjiang on your tongue!
Xinjiang’s hand-grabbed rice – is… is it eaten by grabbing with hands?
Xinjiang’s big plate chicken, spicy chicken, and peppery spicy chicken – although they are all chicken dishes, their flavors are very different~
Grilled mutton kebabs, grilled stuffed buns, grilled fish, whole roasted sheep…
Xinjiang noodles with sauce – we call them lagetiaozi in Xinjiang.
Nang – you can go without food for a day, but not without nang; its status in Xinjiang is solid.
Meatball soup – people who have been to Xinjiang say it’s delicious. It’s said to be even better with youtaozi~
Stewed mutton, smoked horse meat, milk tea, kumiss, hand-grabbed meat…
Yellow noodles, cold noodles with grilled meat – a perfect lunch for office workers in summer.
Grapes, Hami melons, fragrant pears, pomegranates, watermelons… seasonal fresh fruits, the sweetness of Xinjiang fruits goes straight to your heart.
I can’t help but swallow my saliva at this point. I must have some grilled meat for dinner tonight! But let’s get down to business first, here’s a group of beautiful scenery.
The introduction of the itinerary has come to an end. If you come to Xinjiang, be sure to make thorough preparations. No matter if you are on a business trip, traveling, or visiting relatives, I hope the following thoughtful tips from me can be helpful to your trip to Xinjiang in some way~
②Outdoor supplies: Besides a suitcase (for changing clothes) that is usually placed in the car or hotel, prepare a small backpack of about 35 liters (when entering the Hemu scenic area, leave the large suitcase in the car and only bring necessary toiletries and clothing), water bottles, etc.
③Clothing and shoes: In June, July, and August, you can wear short-sleeved shirts, long pants, and bring a thin jacket. In September and October, bring a windbreaker or cotton-padded jacket. Wear hiking shoes or tourist shoes, convenient flip-flops, underwear, socks, etc. for changing.
④Various equipment: There are many topics to shoot in Xinjiang, so various lenses and tripods are useful. Mobile phones (power banks), cameras (chargers, spare batteries), and more than 2 memory cards.
⑤Sunscreen items: sunglasses, hats, parasols, sunscreen lotion, and lip balm to protect the skin.
⑥Medications to bring: cold medicine, stomach medicine, band-aids, mosquito repellent, essential balm (special reminder: the north is dry, it’s necessary to bring medicine for reducing internal heat and soothing the throat).
⑦Food: dry food, chocolate, biscuits, etc.
⑧Hygiene products: rolls of toilet paper.
⑨Entertainment items: playing cards, high-capacity MP3, etc. Xinjiang Tourism Consultation: (same) 0991-8585456
